Yeah it's probably a ''I was hoping for a 9.8 and got a 9.4'' so here, I don't want it. The money lost on that is probably made up by the gain of others that were 9.8s.

This is the least I ever paid for a 9.8 that was going into my permanent collection. I only collect pre-1984 but had to have a copy of the first BATO issue.

I bought that book mainly as a grading exemplar. The early BA book inside was probably worth $3-$5 raw.

 

Hence few other people were willing to spend $8.99 total for a mid-grade $3-$5 book just because it was in plastic, but I had other motives.
