The Mad about Millies are the best of the lot.

I'll eventually pick up the Chili and Millie run from the same source over the next few months. :whee:

found yourself a nice bronze collection did you?

Good things happen to those who covet Greggy's books.

Picked these up today at the Boston show. The Hulk is especially gorgeous. The MGC 34 is pretty darn sweet, too. Best of all, most of the books ended up costing 1-4 bucks each. Ended up with about 30 for the day.

Some nice pic frames.

Some very nice BA romance:

Some Charlton:

And, for 1 buck, and early 1970's HG Gold Key

I'll save the real find for tomorrow. Rare, but I doubt anyone will truly care.

Sad, isn't it.

Even Greggy won't care as much as he thinks.

Here they are. I couldn't resist pulling the trigger, and the price was right. I had never seen these before, and I think I have a pretty good wealth of useless BA info. GACollectibles, Ted Van Liew, and CKB had never seen them either, and the same was true of another hard-core Charlton collector at the show. Pretty darn neat promo posters.

It's actually interesting-- clearly both Harvey and Charlton made these to advertise to both customers and newstand owners, but DC and Marvel didn't.

If anyone knows anything about them, I'd love to hear about it.

Ask Cretella.

I love this type of junk.

I would have bought it if I saw it.

Don't underestimate my ability to care.

I don't care, however, for Charltons. :ohnoez:

Since Greggy cares so much, I'm gonna share more.

After three shows in 3 weeks, I took tonight off from working and had a chance to look at my loot.

This bit of BA GGA came from my 4th big find of HG early 1970's Archies ($2 each). I bought about 90 of them in Balt., and at least 40 of them were much nicer than I remembered and will likely stay in the collection.

Enjoy. You never see HG copies of this book. At least I never have.

Jeez, Greggy. Four books I've never even owned remotely nice copies of. Yer killin' me.

And, for anyone who thinks the census scarcity of DC (and other) romance books is due to apathy and lack of money/demand--I think we can safely say after about 5-7 years of these books bringing real money and so few having shown up, they are definitely rare in grade.
