Can anyone shed any light on this, I've wanted this comic for a long time, the cowboy riding an atomic bomb has always been a big favourite of mine and so has capt marvel. Combine the two and be the only time he wears a belt, heck yes.

 

Does anyone know anything about this, is it a pedigree, knowledge of who owns it, a price , anything? I'm going to go do a little research now.... This is definetly going to be a lifetime goal right here.

 

Edit: it has been found http://comics.ha.com/common/view_item.php?Sale_No=817&Lot_No=3555&src=pr wow, i didn't think that these kind of grades existed on golden age comics, that a 9.2+ was crazy good.

 

Since finding some info on this, and not wanting to waste space with a single thread on my new want: i wanted to see if anyone out there had any ultra high grad GA's 9.4 minimum! Show em if you've got em.

Those are pretty cool. Tough in such a high grade with the black covers!

Wasn't #2 a warehouse find? I thought I remembered something like that in a thread. At the least, these are the #s from the census:

 

Near Mint + 9.6 8 0 0 0 8

Near Mint 9.4 6 0 0 0 6

Near Mint - 9.2 2 0 0 0 2

Very Fine/Near Mint 9.0 2 0 0 0 2

 

I still think those 2 covers are great and really beautiful copies.
