I hope people won't take this personally but I don't see how a Dr. Strange movie could work. A magical superhero with lots of occult references doesn't really rate high on the list of the public's must-see movies.

 

I personally don't see how they're gona pull off Thor, either.

 

 

Depends how they treat it. The mysticism and language of Lord of the Rings isn’t that far afield from the mysticism and language of Asgard, and LOTR was huge. It already had a huge built-in fanbase of course, but Thor could potentially work if done right.

Exactly, if they can bring Hellboy successfully to the screen, they can do that with Dr. Strange.

 

As for the comment of arcane references, it's really only there to give the stories flavor in the ol' Marvel comics and the movie can do the same: magic as scenery and then focus on character motivations.

Just watched Grindhouse a couple of nights ago on Encore.

Rose is in both the movies (It is two separate movies) and did an ok job.

Very pleasant to look at though.

I loved the Kill Bill movies.

Grindhouse was, shall we say,.... interesting.
