Actually you could say the lighting and toning and shadows are awesome on many 40's comics. The 50's lacked a lot of that it seems.

It reminds me a lot of fan favorite Flash Comics 31, but (attached) not close enough for a swipe. Lots of other covers out there, especially Wonder Woman, with similar cover layouts and themes, aren't there?
