Ever open a bronze 3-pack and sub to CGC? What grades did you get?

I am always curious about those bronze 3 packs you see sometimes.

 

The ones where you could save a whole penny in total off the cover prices if you bought 3 comics and were willing to not know what the comic in the middle would be.

 

Has anyone ever bought a bronze 3 pack in the last 5 years, opened it, and submitted books to CGC?

Nooo! They must not be opened!

 

I've got a lot of Whitman 2- and 3-packs. Typically the books look at least 9.2ish and up as long as the package has been treated gently over the years. But I've not opened any for grading.

I have a few of the Batman 414-416 3-packs (still sealed and 0.75 cover).

No, but I did have a killer silver age 4-pack that included a Batman 189! :thumbsup:

 

Most in the bag got CGC 9.6, I think one book got 9.4

I know there's a 'vacationing' Canadian board member that opened a 3-pak with a Batman 181. Got either a 9.6 or 9.4 if I remember correctly.

I cracked a romance 2-pak with a 52 page Young Romance and a 52 page Young Love. Got one 9.4 and one 9.6
