Anyone purchase from this seller on eBay and have a good or bad experience?

I have and I had no complaints that I remember. Regardless, he has 16,574 positive comments with no negatives. That is pretty good even though most of them are for buying.

That was my concern in that so many were his buying feedback. But quite a bit of eBay transactions nonetheless.

Plus I did notice he was the buyer that won the House of Secrets 92 listed as a 9.4 grade from robojo33 (the forums most favorite seller ever).

Over the years he bought a lot of comics from us, he was very professional and even gave me his work number to call him. I have not purchased from him, but he should know how to grade as he has bought tens of thousands of comics in the past 10 years.

Since I have not heard negative about the fellow or someone yelling he is tied in with Robojo, I just sent him a note to give him a heads up about the restore and trimming concerns out there.

 

Oddly enough, he came back immediately and was thankful as he is about to send that HOS 92 into CGC. Should be interesting what comes back.

Thanks JD. That issue especially is one I always watch for, but after seeing the warnings on here I watched - no bidding. Hopefully, this fellow didn't get burned.

I bought 4 raw books from him almost 2 years back.

 

He called them NM- in his listings, but based on the scans I thought they were over-graded -- and I was right. They were all in the VF (–/+) range.

 

But I paid F prices for them, so it worked out OK.

I received what I thought were some over graded books. He said send any of them back you don't want. He gladly refunded the ones I returned. He seems like a nice honest sincere guy to me.
