That's because the movie sucks. Heath is the best thing in it but beyond that it is nearly unwatchable. I've been saying this since it came out.

Although Pulp Fiction was the better movie that year, how in the world could you call Forrest Gump a POS?

 

I too think Forrest Gump is a great movie. Part of the problem with it is that it was lampooned so much after the fact that it lost it's appeal for a lot of people.

 

Not to mention, Forrest Gump definitely has an age barrier as to the viewer. It's not something that most 20 somethings at the time were going to appreciate.

 

I was 22 when it came out and I saw the movie 3 times in the theaters.

 

Cried every time too! :cry:

Hell... I still cry when I watch it!
