Hello,

 

Just want to say hi before I join in on the festivities here. I'm a comic book- Pop Culture

collector and am trying to collect the comics I had back in the early seventies.

I collected Marvel, DC, Harvey comics, and am I big Planet of the Apes fans (original).

 

I see some boardies have great quality comics that I had (Thor 200, ASM 110, early

action, and Neal Adams Batman comics) the prices these are going for on Ebay is

out of my range, but it sure is fun to see them in such nice condition.

 

 

Anyway, just introducing myself and look forward to joining in on the fun. :)

Buying a few: after Marvel relaunched my favorite title "Amazing Spider-Man"

I cut back, well, actually, I cut back before that because of my lack of interest

in modern storytelling.

 

I wasn't happy to see much of the dialogue in comics coming from movies

like Star Wars, Terminator, etc. Nothing wrong with those movies, but I want

to see more original dialogue in comics. Guess I'm showing my age.

 

The Superman_New Krypton stories are fun. Buying

some Green Lantern comics: I'll buy oneshots like the Alan Davies Thor

that came out a few weeks ago.

I confess I have no Idea what's going on with the X-men books.

 

Someone posted that "Warlord" with Mike Grell is coming back: looking

forward to that. The Goon is a riot.
