Umm, I bought a low grade pile and look what I found

Too bad that here in Portugal we don't have garage sales-_-

 

I doubt I could find any american comic even if we had...

Don't be so hard on Europe. It must have it's good side or us crazy N. Americans wouldn't keep going there for holidays.

Its hard to find anything worthwile at garage sales anymore. I also check flea markets and second-hand stores. In the boondocks, you sometimes find some early bronze, late silver etc.

 

We have a used bookstore here in Austin that used to have cheap comics and you could make great finds, now they have a comic section and everything is priced at guide. It's ridiculous and they aren't the greatest graders either.

 

In NYC, I find good bronze age at the street markets sometimes.

 

Where is the best place to find deals these days?

not so fast. i thought the same but a friend of mine discovered some golden age books on a flea market in vienna, austria. so it is possible, but very very rare.
