I think HeroesCon from what I have heard seems like an ok show, but to lose a major con in one of the biggest/busiest cities in the country would be bad for comics.

 

I can think of more than a couple 3 day cons that should be cancelled before Philly. Where its tire kicker central seems to be the theme.

 

I would like to see some other promotion take over Philly, cause if not it off to Heroes Con Next year for me. Reed's PLEASE... :cloud9:

 

The only thing I like about Charolotte, NC is that it's Ric Flair Country....woooo!

I would agree. Philly needs to keep a three day show.

 

I just have a problem with them doing it the same weekend as Heroes. They took a PR blood bath going against Heroes back in 2006, when everyone thought it would be Shelton going down.

 

You would think they would figure out they shouldn't go against him and his show. He's too well liked among the Pros in the business.

 

And now on top of that they are doing another show in NY......seems to me to be the same old vengeful way they do business.

Wizard is a bunch of , hated them ever since they took over Chicago from Gary -- its just not been the same to me . I still go to Chicago but its sure not for all the glitz and wildly_fanciful_statement they promote it as. I had a booth at the 1`st couple of wizard chicago shows then never again-- well guess what next April will be my 1`st time setting up in Chi-town in over 12 years -- OK ranting over --Mike
