I just got booked at the Westin for Friday night!

Someone give me a heads up on if there is going to be a forum dinner...

I think has to be the largest group of CGC members to go to

Heroes without a forum dinner set up...

I can understand people on a budget, so for those that don't want to dine on

Spam luncheon meat out of the can and Hamms beer how about let me know.

:insane:

If anyone is interested, this link will take you to the restaurant.com listings for the convention center area. Pickins are kind of slim, but the Fuel Pizza on Tryon is decent and the atmosphere is good - especially if you can eat outdoors.

You should drive a stick shift. I hear Bill has a lot of manual dexterity. :gossip:

If you sweet talk me you may get to find out first hand :wishluck:

How about Italian for Friday night?

Mama Ricottas is a couple of blocks over...

I could set up a party and we could eat family style,

but we need to find out how many are going to be there soon

because I am sure reservations will be a challenge the longer we wait.

hm

I'm game are they let's say... flexible in speding?

Is that the new terminology now?

"Driver" and "passenger"?

Wally,

How far is this from the event? Transporation may be an issue...

otherwise a good idea. I'm sure not everyone can go as so many are attending; I say those wanting to go to this dinner event please post here by end of day tomorrow and I can help set up the rest. I'll start by calling them today to see what the forecast is for Friday.

Hey Wally.

I've been to many, many dinners.

They are supposed to be about talking with fellow collectors, not eating dinner.

Problem is that you get stuck at a table that allows you to chat with only a small handful of folks.

Here is my idea:

We have a "party" poolside at the Westin & just have a bunch of pizzas delivered.

BYOB.

This way we get to socialize & mingle.

The last dinner was horrible for me. I was stuck talking with joeypost all night & ended up with one of his hair balls next to one of my meatballs.
