Most days we receive 100+ emails, anything from payment receipts, enquiries, subscriber questions, thoughts and ideas, etc.

 

We also receive comments and suggestions, and yes, like any business, we receive our share of criticism. But 99.9% of the time, the criticism is constructive and has often helped us improve GPA, even when the criticism can be a little heated.

 

.... but.... once in a blue moon we get something pretty nasty, and in this case, the guy is also wrong on his premise. Read away:

Funny thing is, looking through our records, he has never paid for our service (although he is in the system as an old trial user from many years ago) and has never attempted to upgrade. I did a Google search on him and couldn't find anything comic book related. All I could come up with was an old post back in 2003 on a motorcycle website:

Anyone know the guy and what possibly would lead him to email such a distasteful message?

 

For complete disclosure, I did email him back:

 

Jeff, your email is highly offensive and its basis incorrect. We gather CGC sales information from over 20 online venues.

On second thought George, I just thought about all the help you gave me when I was having trouble with Worldpay a couple of months ago, including a free trial to GPA for a month. This guy is bang out of order and that was totally unwarranted.

 

I've just forwarded my thoughts about him via email. I did not mention you George or GPA, it was just a general 'I think you are scum' email. This guy deserves some blowback on this.

edit: did a search. Fedoraman's first name is Jeff.

Yep, you're right! I just checked the IP addresses in our system and there's a matchup with a username "Fedoraman" and the IP addresses against the email address "iamthekewlest@hotmail.com" used as a username.

 

So this guy is known here? doh!

Well, I hope he reads this thread and is ashamed of his offensive email. He didn't send it to me personally but to our main "info" address - those emails go into our CRM system and it was first read by our female staff member. Really classy Jeff, really classy.
