CGC Case Isn't Sealed?

I just received two CGC's and I noticed on the left side only the case isn't sealed completely along the middle. I see a long sticky strip there and if I pinch the case with my fingers it sticks momentarily then opens again. I'm told this is normal since the cases are sealed at the corners but wanted to be sure, thanks!

I've actually had multiple cases returned in that condition--exactly as you described. Based on the frequency of how often I have had them return that way, I just assumed it was an "ordinary purpose."

I believe your book is fine, but call CGC to make sure...if it is wrong they will make it right.

This is really common and is fine as far as I know. Those cases are only locked at the posts, but you have the inner well protecting the book more firmly all the way around. You can call and be sure but I have several cases that are like that. I've had multiple people tell me it's normal also.
