I would rather have the unrestored 6.0. Now if you are talking about a 2.0 or 2.5 where the eye appeal is significantly different, I would rather have the restored book, providing that it is professional restoration and no more than moderate.

I'll take the Universal over PLOD unless the retoration can be removed without the book taking a huge hit in grade.

For me, it would depend on the eye appeal of the 6.0, but most likely the 6.0 if pleased with how it looks. i.e. Id rather a 9.0 restored if the 6.0 has water damage throughout book

I concur. The FF #1 is the only one that holds any appeal and I have already owned and sold both choices. So, I would go with none of the above.

The grades arent far enough apart to have any difference or significant difference. Most anyone would choose the 6.0 blue label. Now if you asked a 3.5 vs 8.0, I may take the 8.0

 

 

Restoration just doesnt bother me though.

True... most people will take the 6.0 because it is still a book that has a good deal of eye appeal.

 

Whereas I think the tables would turn if it was a unrestored beater vs. a slightly restored midgrade.
