Why slab a book like that? It's a perfect reader.

 

Maybe they were hoping for a 1.

 

Besides, it's all about the number and not the book, right?

I've seen worse... take a book like that and add mold and mildew :) and to me that's the worst possible... when you need a hazmat suit just to open it

with all those tape repairs, why is this not a purple (amateur) label book?

 

Regular transparent tape gets blue.

 

As does black electrical tape. doh!

I had a copy of Daredevil 1 from a mini-key collection. It was torn almost completely in half horizontally from the spine to the edge. About 2 inches were still hanging on for each page. It was sad.

I agree, I was just more shocked they actually put black tape on the book.
