Not a ToS 39 as much as a PoS 39. Both covers completely detached, paper so brittle it rains little shreds whenever touched.

I "won" this on Ebay for $1,600. Took a while but I got my money back. Arrived in bunched up saran wrap inside a manilla envelope.

Funny, the image on Ebay looked a lot nicer...

That's highly unlikely as the cover was probably run on a different press, also the CGC note only refers to the cover being off-register.

Look at all the realistic-looking guns for same on that back cover!

 

And just think, the guys who grew up with these books are now in our political offices. What will this new generation of namby-pamby kids be like when they get older, since guns can't look like guns (and they have to wear helmets and pads to ride a bike, and have their parents DRIVE them door-to-door on Halloween, and.....)
