Sold for less than the 3.0 cream-offwhite last week The 3.0 selling for $911 is still a strong price. If we compare it to the sales last year this time, 3.0 copies were selling for around half that. Looks like 4.0 and above is where the price jumps and a bigger jump with 6.0+. Showcase 22 is taking a breather right now since it's been parabolic the last two months. This is very healthy for the book and provide collectors an opportunity to own this classic. From these sales figures, there is an insatiable demand for SC22 in all grades. That is three CGC graded copies sold in one day 10/4/09...very impressive. There are now very few copies offered in the marketplace. No doubt it is one of the most liquid and desirable Silver Age keys. Congratulations to all who owns a copy. I can´t really imagine a 5.0 ever catching 6k. Although 3 months ago, it even took days to sell 5.0´s for $1100 I think in the very long term (five to ten years) the 5.0 may reach 6K. I think the 5.0 will peak around $3000-4500 the next two years. But for copies above 6.0, prices will rise more rapidly. If the Green Lantern movie does well and if there is a sequel...then of course much higher prices. If SC22 ever reaches SC4 prices, then it is fully priced.
