Resto / Pressing Successes

29 posts in this topic

Aside from the distain some people have for restoration & pressing, sometimes beater books need to be patched up so they don't fall to bits. Does anyone have any success stories? I've seen a few tattered rags turn into nice-looking, readable gems... But only 2-3.

Also, anyone have some real winners come out of pressing? I don't mean a 9.4 turned into a 9.6. I bought this book as an eBay FN/VF - which was accurate. There was a light bend and some stain-like junk on the back cover... it all went away to give me the best eBay find I ever had.

Looks like Kenny's work.
It is Kenny's work. This is the pure form of conservation on display. No color touch needed. The pieces were added just to make it safe to handle. :cloud9:
