Ordered as VF+ but i am thinking VG ? Any thoughts about the grade would be appreciated.

I agree, 3.5/4.0 seems about right. The staple pop and splitting at the top will sink the grade.

 

I saw this one on ebay, and am familiar with the source. He has some great stuff, but can't grade to save his life. I ordered two books from him last year, resulting in one partial refund and one outright return.

 

In spite of all that, cool cover! I love the greens, very unusual.

Thanks! The price i paid was a bit a high for this grade, though would have been cheap for VF. Just a cool cover that I rarely see. Appreciate the help!.

possible 4.5/5.0 given the age, unless the top staple becomes completely detacted, which would downgrade it to a 3.5.

I'd go with 3.5. Not a book you see everyday. Aces like this don't get the respect they deserve IMO. One of favorite titles is another Ace series - Super-Mystery (some great covers).

If you're keeping it, and it sounds like you are, I'd try to work out a partial refund with the seller.
