So....the McCartney concert.....some thoughts.....

 

1) PHENOMENAL!

2) Dude can still out-sing almost anyone.

3) Let me Roll It..... (thumbs u

4) 2 hours and 45 minutes of great song after great song

5) He played acoustic guitar, rythym, lead, mandolin, ukelele, and piano.

6) George and John tributes were sad but beautiful

7) Helter Skelter....my throat hurt just listening to it. A screamer.

8) Hey Jude.....'nuff said.

9) 2nd encore....Day Tripper, I Saw Her Standing There, and The End complete with drum solo and Paul and his 2 guitarists trading leads for 6 minutes.....rocked harder then the Foo Fighters last year.

10) A near fight breaking out in the row behind me just as A Day in the Life morphed into Give peace a Chance....Nothing like 18,000 people singing Give Peace a Chance while the guy behind you screams 'Your wifes a blthch' and 'Im gona knock you out".

11) Live and Let Die.....major fireworks and explosions during the "Live and Let DIE...BUM...BUM...." portion. ...amazing song. Slightly interrupted by security removing drunk fighter boy.

 

I could go on.....but I won't. If you haven't seen him, do so if possible. He doesn't tour much. The best part was he and his killer band were having as much fun as anyone. And he cracked us up on may occasions.

Hell yes!!!

 

The only songs I expected and didn't get were Penny Lane and Maybe I'm Amazed.
