The last one I saw was on a dealer's table in Chicago 2 years ago...asking price was $15 or $17k....and it wound up getting sold.

It was at Albert Moy's booth at WonderCon and SDCC either in 2007 or 2008. Pretty sure the price tag was $12.5K. Very cool to see in person. Those are some great covers.

These days the artists retains the ownership (divided up between the penciler and inker). Pre mid seventies, the companies kept the work, assuming they owned it, when in fact they were only purchacing the images created and not the physical art.
