It still should be set up like this:

 

Gold

Silver

Bronze

Modern

 

That would be even worse, as more and more would go into the Mixed Age section, causing a change-over to the old format in short order.

 

The problem is the Mixed "Catch-All" forum, as it adds duplication and confusion to any format. You need to get rid of it, and Arch/CGC has stated they will not under any format.

As long as sellers get the wording right in their thread titles I don't see any problem in having to look through 3 different sections.

I consider the current format to be all right, and certainly not the imposition people thought it might be. The only drawback is that I tend to ignore the mixed Forum, but that's what the alerts are for.

Haven't bought or sold since the new format was introduced. Could be some kind of correlation there......

 

I haven't bought as much. Not for lack of trying, but there's just been less there of interest to me. Or I'm missing them. Maybe coincidence, maybe not......

I'm new, so I don't have any idea of how it used to be. I check all 3, but mixed age is the last one I check. I know there are people who are very specific in what they collect, I can't imagine it's too difficult to navigate, annoying if anything. Comic collectors as a group tend to be a pretty intelligent lot and know how to work a computer and the inter-webs!

 

I tend to check the time of the last post as well to see how happening a thread is as well. Mostly it doesn't seem to matter too much anyway since by the time I get to a thread on something I'm looking for, it's already sold and I quietly curse the emoticon I see and chastise myself until I forget about it or something shiny takes my focus.

Really like it! I don't collect GA or SA, so having the one forum to go into (Copper/Modern) is nice as it clears out the clutter of books that I don't collect.

I preferred the old way... even though I only buy golden aged books, it was cool to see what was for sale in all ages (in one spot).

BA/CA

Although, as of lately being too broke to buy, the new way has helped me stay away from looking (because it takes more time). In the past I would sometimes window shop and buy even though I shouldn't.

Honestly, I think it makes the older crowd happier than the younger.
