Just noticed this - Frazetta swiped his own Tomahawk splash from Star Spangled #113 for one of his 1960's ERB paperback covers.

 

Guess you can't blame him, it's a cool image!

Everett really was a great artist.

 

I wish I had appreciated him more earlier in my collecting days (when I had money).

Jim, what Batman issue is that splash from?

 

....... # 15, my friend. And the exact copy is now part of Heroes Aren't Hard To Find wall inventory..... and man do I regret letting it go. It has the whitest pages I've ever seen on a GA book...... GOD BLESS....
