Most overrated strip: Garfield.

Garfield was pretty good for the first 5 years or so... Davis changed a lot in that time.

 

For the past decade, it pretty much sucks & blows, though.

Tough call. Calvin and Hobbes was short lived genius. Bloom County was what I grew up on after I'd read all the Doonesbury reprints. Here's my favorite Far Side panel:

Gotta go Far Side. Smartest strip every written. I do love Peanuts and would nominate it for best and most memorable collection of characters in a strip.

Right now, choices are tough. L.A. Times has some crappy strips. But, current favorites are Frazz and Darby.
