We're 13 hours ahead of EST. All my max bids were put in last night. There's nothing in the SA section I'm going after aggressively, so you're safe from me, not that I've been a mover or shaker in the SA DC market for the past few years anyways.

I'd love to get back some of my Flashes from Gary Keller at a discount, though! lol

Hulk #1 in 9.2 went for $125K. Showcase #22 in 9.0 fetched nearly $60K. I was outbid on every one of my own, more modest targets. Who said prices were weakening? They sure weren't talking about early high grade Silver.

Many of the Gold books were weak...I'm still miffed I didn't bid on the Subby # 1 in 6.0 with Resto....the nicest copy you will ever see for under $2k. Shocking prices to the downside in many respects...

Are the bleeding edge grades taking a bath?

They should. :/

Irrational exuberance has its limit.

Lets get back to collecting ...

I don't think grades had anything to do with it....2nd and 3rd tier Gold was down in practically every grade. If it wasn't Superman or Batman, or certain Timelys, it wasn't going to end well for the consignor.

Flash 105,132,173,182.

I can't beleive the 125 went cheap. I tried really hard on the 112,119 and 169. No joy there but I'm happy with what I got so far. There was a lot of bidding on these books. A lot more than I expected.

I thought prices on the Flashes were pretty weak. #111 was one of the exceptions and went for a really strong price. But I was the underbidder on the #116 and #120, which belonged to me before, and I was bidding at 33% below what I sold them for! And I won the #117, also my old book, at more than a 33% discount to what I sold it for.

There's been a perfect storm downwards in the Flash market during the past 3 years. Lots of supply of ultra-HG copies has come on the market, while 3 big collectors (keller being the third) have left.
