And last, but far from least, a gorgeous copy of a less than politically correct classic. I love the deep greens on this cover. The Pennsylvania Copy...

Cool, they moved it back.

Here's one more. Classic Mac Raboy cover. This copy is a strong 8.0.

To put this book in an historical context, here's what I wrote in the Fawcett thread when I first acquired it:

The final weeks of '43 were an interesting time in the war. England was bombing the hell out of Berlin, and Hitler's resources were being heavily drained on the Russian front. Even worse, he knew an Anglo-American attack on the Western front was looming. Sure enough, in November, Roosevelt, Stalin, & Churchill met in Tehran to confirm a Spring attack on Western Europe, and hammer out the details of Project Overlord.

In preparation, Hitler sent all available Panzer divisions to the Western Front and Denmark. The small print at the bottom of The Daily Star on this cover describes the arrival of these reinforcements in Copenhagen. "3,000 German troops in full battle regalia - including tanks, armored cars, and planes - disembarked from transports and were now patrolling the capitol's streets."

It's easy to lump a cover like this into a generic and interchangeable "World War 2" cover category. In reality, what Freddy Freeman is anxiously asking you to "Read all about" is the same news that was appearing in newspapers across the world at the time.

Funny books, indeed...

I'm puzzled, too. I severed the link on my website homepage to the GA books I had listed there. So where else was I listing them?

My guess is, because they are still listed here...

I thought that you could only have books listed in one place?

but they are lovely books....good luck

When I click on that link, it brings me to my homepage. When I click on Golden Age Comics, nothing happens. Is the GA link still bringing you to the list of books?

Yes, exactly as I mentioned in my PM last night...and I cleared my cache and temp files again, this morning, before posting what I did...it takes me right to the link for the GA books, I can even see the sold one was removed.

Now I'm really confused. I haven't touched the website since I disabled the GA link yesterday. Nothing has been deleted off.

Is that link to the GA books working for anyone else, or just skypinkblu?

Oh, krap. Now I get it. I had two links, one on the scan of Thrilling 19, and another on the words "Golden Age". I only deleted the link on the scan. doh!

My bad. I'm at work and can't fix it, so if the mods would like to move it back to the dealer marketplace, please do.
