Sold my TOS#39 7.0 for these, thoughts?

Are you legally insane or are they made of gold? I just don't get the idea of buying rims. I mean I LOOOOOOOOOVEEE big muscle cars and big old classic wheels.

But I would have a hard time trading a comic I liked a lot for a set of rims.

Now if you don't collect TOS or Iron Man maybe I can understand just checking a comic book you're not committed to keeping long term..I don't know..

I hope at the very least you got the entire set.

Honestly I had my old Maverick tricked out pretty nicely but I never bought new rims for it. I even had the back end raised on my '72 Chrysler with and dual tip chrome exhaust.

I've owned several old classic cars and never ever bought rims for any of them. It would be a hard sell if the person wanted to trade comics for them..

3-piece ...Modulare... love em' :cloud9:

Guess most of you posting so far, are not car nuts? hm

My ride is worth a HELLAVA lot more than an Iron man 1st app :headbang:

If the car is a passion that is on a higher order than the book, then you did just fine.

Nice looking rims too :applause: 20"s? or are they bigger? What kinda car are they going on?

Let's see...........................TOS #39 appreciates...........new wheels depreciate............... get where this is going?!? :makepoint:

That's what I was thinking - he traded an appreciating asset for a depreciating asset. :screwy:

Maybe so . . . but those wheels aren't. And in one year, five years, or ten years, they REALLY won't be.

You sold a TOS39 CGC 7.0 to put wheels on a used Chrysler 300C SRT-8? :screwy::screwy::screwy:

Perhaps, but that's ultimately irrelevant! For ME, the trade off was stellar, got rid of a fairly high value book that mattered little to me (paid $150.00 for it in 1980). In return, I bought a pair of expensive (relative) wheels, that I personally love on my whip :cloud9:

Value is first, and foremost, weighed in the context of the buyer/owners perspective... little else matters. (thumbs u
