Lets see those unslabbable signed Hard Covers!

52 posts in this topic

I really enjoy the signature program. In fact my Yellow labels outnumber my Blue labels. However, over the past 2 years I have been supplementing my yellow labels by obtaining signatures for my DC Archives and Marvel Masterworks. I know the signatures can’t be authenticated but I love them just as much. Books where multiple people contributed to the stories inside (like the Strange Tales Masterworks) are favorites of mine to have signed. Lots of people contributed to those stories so it becomes a mission to get those alive to sign.

I think 2010 will be the year I appreciate what I accumulated over the years by photographing and organizing everything. So here is a thread where people can share there signed hard covers. A growing part of my collection.

You've got some great books! I know it doesn't compare, but I've got a good number of sigs from artists/Bendis of the New Avengers in the premium hardcovers. Billy Tan even did quick sketches in 2 of them. If I get a chance, I'll get some quick pics and post them later.

I hope Par2ch posts a few...he's got some great sketches in a few of them.

I don't generally take pics of my hard covers, but I do have one that immediately comes to mind. I got this signed by Jack Kirby around 1991 or 1992. I finally found a way to contact Joe Simon in 2003 and managed to get his signature as well.

I know what you mean. The lack of authentication doesn't diminish in any way the fact that you got to meet the creator(s).

Great stuff!

Here is my Tales of Terror: The EC Companion hardcover signed by every EC creator that I've been able to get so far. (Not a great photo, sorry.)

And here is my San Diego Comic-Con 40th Anniversary hardcover that I got signed this past summer:
