Which Golden Age Artist Has The Most Classic Covers?

Now, NM, one would hope that Raboy gets the nod with the most Classic Covers. Interesting question hm

He's got one Master, one Captain Marvel Jr., and one Green Lama. What other titles did he do covers for?

Bump on this thread. I'm not sure if it's because this thread is old, but it's not letting me edit my very first post. So, I guess I'll just copy and paste here. I've added one.

Not a classic cover designation but I have always liked his cover to Dynamic Comics #9.

the list will vary depending on individual interest

some people will say Schomburg, some will say Carl Barks, others will say Eisner or Fine or Kirby, Raboy, Feldstein, Ingels, Matt Baker, Bill Everett, Wayne Boring, Sprang, Mortimer or any number of other artists who worked from 1935-1956

I agree - I would say Fine but if you confine the list to only those designated as classic by OS and/or CGC (which doesn't necessarily match) then it would be interesting to see who has the most. I think it is Schomburg by my cursory review of the list.

If you confine the list to only those designated as classic by OS and/or CGC you'd come to the conclusion that classic covers began and ended in the GA. :taptaptap:

Anyone feel like playing divide and conquer and list the artists?

It's a daunting list for one person, but if we split it up, we could knock it out pretty quickly. We could use a Google Docs spreadsheet to keep the work centralized.
