1948 Gilbert Hall of Science catalog with Superman!

YAY!

The favorite toys of my youth mixed with Superman. An American Flyer train (my Dad's) chug chugs around my Christimas tree each year! Comic fanatics hardly hold a candle to train fanatics so you can buy all kinds of parts to keep things running.

I bought an Erector set (#8 in the catalog) for $2. in my youth and it was one of my favorite toys. I also had a sixties chemistry set by Gilbert that was fun and probably dangerous.

Gilbert made great toys, you can read all about him on the internet. Better yet go buy some of the toys (though you won't find Erector sets for $2. these days.) Mine is still in my back house awaiting my son's interest and if not my retirement!
