This is what happens when:

 

1) The same books are recycled for sale almost (if not) every month, hence the drop in prices

 

2) Too many quality material in the different auctions ending right about the same month

 

3) Books ending on a weekday may cause the low prices

There were some low prices, especially on the BA ASMs, but some books (like the ASM 86 in CGC 9.4 and 135 in CGC 9.6) went crazy, for some reason. Overall though there were (and will be) some deals tonight.

 

yeah was watching those.... hm wonder if we will see them again soon?

Not sure about point 3, but the first two points are certainly valid.

 

As I've said to people who chat with me on high-grade collecting, and to follow what you've said above:

 

- there's no such thing as "rare silver age" or "rare bronze age"

- one price point does not make a trend

- the CGC census is your best friend

- if you're concerned with a return on your investment then don't "just collect what you like"

- don't have a "will hold onto it forever" mentality
