So how long will it take for the current comic book record price to be bested? And which book will it be?

If the Action 1 8.5 came to market it would eclipse 1M. So would either of The Dentist's big books (hell, they'd blow past the 1M mark).

I think it just shows that there are more than a few $1+ million dollar books that exist in the hobby. That magical number has not been officially eclipsed up until now simply because they have not been available. This week, though, two of them were.

I suspect we won't see any comparable sales for quite a while, years perhaps, unless some raw HG Action 1s or Tec 27s show up from long-time collections. Or the bottom falls out of the oral surgery market and someone specific needs to raise some quick cash. The former is possible, the latter highly unlikely.
