Hey Everyone,

 

I'm just getting back into comics, and I bought one of the books I've always wanted: TMNT 1. I really don't know much about grading, so I want to see how people grade this book. I plan on sending it to CGC in a few weeks.

 

 

 

The worst wear is on the upper left corner. The top wear doesn't look nearly as bad in person. None of the pages inside are torn and no inside sketch (though I wish there was).

There seems to be a couple of tears along the edge.

 

The scan also seems to have been overly contrasted. Don't use Auto Level for everything. (Use Sharpen Unsharp Mask in Photoshop to sharpen the image.)

That's not auto-leveled. It's just a high contrast scan. It needs some work.

I'm going to say 7.5 just because its a dark cover and the wear tends to get exaggerated in big scans like this.

That brings up something,maybe it's the MGD talking .I have been trying to find one of these forever without all the spine problems,and to be honest not alot out there .is there any in the 9.2/9.4 range at all?

That color breaking crease in the URC FC wasn't as apparent before... So I hazard a lot of people would revise their grade.
