For you to grade #1...

I'm posting scans of a few books I picked up over the weekend.

First up is TMNT #1.

(I got a #2 as well, but it's 9.6+ so I have no question about that one.)

Anyway...I'll show front and back on this one.

Defects of note are the lower left corner. Also a few non breaking handling wrinkles on the surface that can only be seen when the light reflects on it just so.

Visually, it's a very nice looking book.

 

Give me an idea of what this would grade based on the scans and description.

I say: VF/NM 9.0. Outside chance of VF+ 8.5.

 

I edited this cause I didn't see the ding on the back cover.

8.0 Don't want to sound like a hater but that spine impact really shows up on the black back cover.

Looks like an 8.5 to me. I wonder if this is a book that would be graded harshly because the black border makes the minor defects stand out?
