At first, I was going to say that it looked substantially better than the 10 second bit we saw a few days ago. Unfortunately, as the trailer went on it ended with all of the dumb Hollywood fireball explosions. This will be an explosion driven movie. It's really starting to bother me. I mean, I know what a fireball looks like. More than anything, a quality story and true acting talent is what is becoming foreign. The gatling guns on the horse is still stupid and overblown. Couldn't he have just done a pistol quick-draw or something?

I still want to see it.

 

It's one part Wild Wild West, 1/4 part Crow, 1/8 part Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, 1/24 part James Bond (for the gadgets only), a pinch of Evil Dead, and a smattering of Man Without a Face.

This movie is going to be hideous. Hex has supernatural powers, an African-American "Q" blacksmith making him magic weapons, and more explosions than Die Hard. Whoopee. I predict it makes Wild Wild West look like Gone With The Wind.
