What's good for $3K?

If you had ~$3K to spend, what key would you get? I got a decent promotion and thought I might treat myself to a little something. It's way more than I've ever spent on a comic, so I'd be more concerned than usually about resale value, but I also want something that's just pain cool. I figure that ain't enough to get an AF 15 right? I'd want something relatively presentable, GA/SA.

 

I'd even be willing to go Marvel! :o

It's certainly enough for an AF15 in a presentable low grade...

 

I would spend the money on a EC gaines file copy because I want one..and buy a pre-Batman detective comics. But that's me lol

You can definitely get a pre-Robin Batman. A decent low grade 37 is within that budget.

 

Start shopping around dude. I guess I spend too much time looking at comics so I find it weird that you're not sure what this can get you. Sorry I'm a geek lol

Fantastic Four 51 CGC 9.4 or better - one of the best stories of the early run.
