I have just received a batch of purchases, among them these two first appearances of soviet villains (I am trying to collect the timeline of all the soviet characters, although I know I’ll never buy a first Black Widow: too hyped ).

I have to thank the amazing boardie Comicalgems (Jason) for these two…

I picked this up because it would have been on the shelves when I was born - 50 years ago!

 

 

I found this inside the comic:

 

 

It was purchased at H.C. Chapwell on Broadway in Oakland, CA on Feb 21, 1964. OK, so that's a month after I was born, but it could have been sitting on the shelves for a while.
