STRONG price for an 8.0!

This book went for double what I thought it would:

I guess the drought really has forced prices to incredible levels...prior to the Comics Vacuum of '03, 8.5s were selling in the $500-$600 range.

I keep a relatively up to date "book value" on my collection and had my 11 in 8.5 valued at $599....Wow!

Since there were 8 unique bidders at $660 or above, I'd say it's a little more than your estimate right now. The number of people bidding it so high is what particularly surprised me...I'm used to most of these peak sales being two "gottahaveit!" guys bidding each other up.
