36 seconds in there is a panel of Charlie's work. Granted the majority of it Moore's stuff. Some of the TPB covers were Charlie's... Cant wait till this comes out in Oct.

I was thinking the same thing. Because I was curious I checked when they were released:

 

Nov 2002: 28 Days Later (UK Release)

Jan 2003: 28 Days Later (USA Release)

Oct 2003: Walking Dead (Cover Date)

 

Any suggestions for explaining where Rick was when everything went down?

That's what I was thinking too, Gary.

 

I have high hopes for this show. IMO, everything looks like it's coming together very well. AMC has a proven track record for quality shows, and this only makes me more hopeful. I'm so excited about it!!
