Could be worse i guess. Only 3 miles away. The only thing that sucks is that i got to pay for parking now twice. unless they got a shuttle. ill check on that later. got orders to get out now.

Proceed with caution everyone,

Jeff

I THINK that's the one that my GF got stuck with last year, it was however, a brand new, nicer hotel...Hopefully the parking is less than the price difference on the hotels. :wishluck:

Talk about a clusterfudge, i booked it from the 19-22nd. Not realizing i had to be there on the 18th and the price jumps to $104.00 for that one extra night. Of course it would right?? Because availability is limited in the two hours from my initial booking. doh!

And Priceline is always non-refundable. :(

If I book from Canada, Priceline is refundable depending on the cancellation policy of the hotel you booked with. Hotwire is always non-refundable.

I should have clarified: Priceline is non-refundable if you use the "Name Your Price" option. At least that's how it is here in the US. From their website:

"Once you successfully Name Your Own Price for hotel rooms through priceline, that reservation cannot be cancelled or changed by priceline or the hotel that accepts your offer and no refunds will be given. Our hotel partners allow you to save up to 40% or more off the lowest published rates with priceline because we've promised that our customers are guaranteed buyers. This is the agreement that keeps this great service available and the reason we ask you to carefully review all the details of your offer and make any necessary changes before you click "Buy My Hotel Rooms Now" on our website."

Like I said when I started this post the worst 2 things that can happen is you get rejected or you get a 4 star hotel in the area for $49 a night.

I think convention parking is $20-$25 so you still save in the end.

If you book the Hyatt through the Wizard site it is $156 per night. Embassy Suites is $139. Now if you need convenience and don't mind the extra money then Priceline is not for you.

I would say at this point the Hyatt is not going to work anymore but if I were looking for a hotel for the convention I would be happy with the Renaissance at $49 then taxi to convention or pay for the parking.

What's the parking situation at the Hyatt? Do they have their own lot or do you have to park in a parking garage?
