He created the Hulk, its a Hulk cover...why not...I think it is cool....

 

The 129 cover..I think I would just want it for the sheer novelty of owning the famous roach cover... I remember the first time I saw it...it was somewhat upseting...now, its borderline epic...

I wll always have an issue with what Stan Lee did to this gorgeous book. It doesn't even enhance the cover, IMHO.

 

Maybe this would have been better on the splash page.

since Stan Lee didn`t create Punisher, why have him sigh it?

same goes for Wolverine for Hulk 181.

I love the Roach cover. It's famous. It's the "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" of the SS world.

I love that book. It falls into the category of "it's so bad it's good"....and would happily have it in my collection.

 

Anyone know what the current ask price is?

Because they can be resold for more with Stan Lee signatures and sketches. People have any character from Marvel signed by him in hopes of reselling at a premium. Personally I think his signature on a book he didnt right is about as awesome as a retarded cat.

Splash page sigs still very popular for raw books, not so much for slabs.

...all of the nice copies of vintage books will be 'defaced' and in a CGC SS case? I'm seeing more and more key high grade SA and BA books getting signed and slabbed everyday. I'm not such a fan of signatures. I kind of prefer them on lower grade books if I do get them.

 

Do you think the supply of higher grade copies will be used up this way, and if so, do you think the remaining unsigned copies will begin to demand a premium over the signed copies?

I like SS books, you don't. I like to have some of my favorite covers and keys signed by the artist or writer, you don't.

 

I collect what I like, not what you like. Maybe I think what you collect is krap and could be thrown on an open flame? See how that works?

Hey Res, did I say that SS was ? Nope. I have 2 or 3 in my collection. All I said was:" I kind of prefer them on lower grade books if I do get them." Once again, I'm wondering if the nicest copies will get used up by signature chasers/collectors, therefore making the unsigned ones more scarce.

I think it's odd that a touch from a sharpie is considered restoration yet some scribble from an artist isn't. There is nothing worse then seeing sweet books scribbled on.

Nice.I have one interior sig book.Not as nice as your high grades.I got it signed inside because I was worried someone might sign over Cap's face.
