What Silver Age books did you win in the August Comiclink auction?

19 posts in this topic

I posted this in the main auction thread in the general section, but hopefully no harm in putting it where it really belongs in the Silver threads. :) I missed out on several of the earlier Spideys in the auction, and partly because of that, I couldn't let this one get away.

Ah, I see where the 9.2 went, I put in a bid a few hours early, and couldn't do more later. That's a nice book, and the #15 too.

Who got the #14, I'm still kicking myself for not trying harder on that one? Most of the older ASM went too high, I did win the 9.4 of #40 and 50 though, good deals I thought. Regards,

I picked up 4 Silver Age Books in the auction and 1 from the store (FF 17) to go along with a 1 Golden Age, 2 Atom Age and 1 Bronze Age. (My collecting is getting all over the place):

The Silver Age books were:

I really thought about that TOS #39 Q, that is a stunning book and it went cheap based on that tiny hole in the cover.

Gorgeous books everyone! I picked up one more last night, and tried for that White Mountain TOS #68 but it got too rich for me.

I've also already posted this in the General thread, but heck, who can really tire of it?

i was wondering about this book....if it had a couple other small defects other than the whole punch, wouldn't it get knocked(upgraded) to like a 7.0 blue label? I used to have a FF 48 with a hole punch in back cover and a slight piece of tape(maybe half inch) on the spine but otherwise had the structure of a 8.5/9.0ish and came back with a blue 5.5 i believe. It was quite awhile ago though.

Ok who bought the X-MEN #2 CGC 9.6 $12,750 and Amazing Spiderman #11 $21K those are extremely high.

Come out of the closet you big spender.

i am not the winners of those books but why do you think X-men #2 9.6 for $12,750 i s high? Over the past year, I have seen 4 or 5 copies at auctions and they went for $16k to $20k.

The ASM #11 went for a price that is tough to compare since there is so few copies of that book in existence as well as for sale...hard to say if that is "extremely" high or high or just about right.

No harm no foul! Spidey collectors are allowed to post their Spideys multiple times as often as they want on any thread...the more the merrier...

And WELCOME TO THE BOARDS! :headbang:
