Warlord
That's all I've scanned so far today. I hope when I check back I get some help on identifying issues! I've just looked over the Dagar covers and I don't think I'm on the right track with that particular issue.

Warlord
Warlord, those are some cool items. Brings back a lot of memories. (thumbs u I like the ones with the discount store 38-cent price sticker on them. If only! I never bought any multipacks as old as those Marvel ones off the racks. I think the oldest I bought (and opened) were late to mid eighties. But yeah, good memories! (thumbs u

joe_collector
Interesting; a square bound book in a Whitman bag. Later on, after the DM officially ramped up, Whitman would include the odd issue (I have a few here) but I've never found any from the pre-DM printings of 1976-78. I don't think anyone has, and it's very likely that when Whitman was the source pre-79, they didn't want to get into 52-page books printed specifically for them (weight, cost) but when Marvel was pumping out 200K-300K per issue to the DM anyway, why not? Jeffro.
It's great seeing some of these really old packs. So amazing that any comics have remained intact/unopened in their original packaging! Wow, 5 books in one pack - what other comics are hidden inside? I have a GK three pack with a Scooby Doo. I'll try to dig it out and scan.
jerome34
As part of my attempt to document the thousands of DC variants, I have been building lists of all DC packs. The packs from 1994 - 1996 are often nothing but variants. I am not including the Whitman packs since we know which DC comics had Whitman variants. Some early packs (typically "Walgreens") had "no month" variants. Other than that, most earlier packs are just the regular issues. As part of my documentation, I would like to include: the year, the SKU, the price (often "3 comics for xx cents"), and the books in the package. Could people posting DC packs please list what information they have? I t is difficult to read issue numbers and it is not always clear if two conssecutive pictures are the front and back of a pack. Thank you.
