This was a book I acquired when I was about 16 or so, back in the eighties. I've never really seriously thought about getting it graded, for obvious reasons, as you will see...but now that I renewed my CGC membership, I have the three free gradings burning a whole in my pocket and thought what the heck, I just might get it graded...since it would be free anyway. I don't have a scanner so I took a pic of it with my Nikon D50. It's actually not a bad book, except for the coffee/pop stain.

best I can tell from the pic , it would likely be a 5.0-5.5 w/o the stains

but I think the stains kill this book.

When I bought it, I just wanted an old book. At 16 years of age I couldn't afford anything too fancy...so this was it.

3.0 is actually better than I had thought though. I'm not good grading the lower end books.

The structure on your book is nice. The staining kills it. He would wash out the stains, color touch the spine wear, and press the book.

 

If the stains are only on the cover, this book would look very nice restored by Mike.
