JLA #94

Has anyone gotten and/or read the Byrne/Claremont issue due out today? I will be going to get it later, but I wonder what the early thoughts were. Does Byrne draw the whole book?

I got it, and read it on the way in to work this morning.

I loved it. I'm going back to buy a couple more. I found it ironic that it's issue 94, but they didn't issue Giant Size 1.

 

I thought Byrne's art was sublime, the writing was gripping, the story and plot suspenseful, and the characters creative.

 

I've never read a JLA before, so I might be a slanted reviewer, but rest assured, you'll love it.

Just to clarify, Byrne didn't start on X-Men until #108. It was Terry Austin from 94 to 107.

Actually, it was Dave Cockrum who did the art in 94-107!

Yeah, Terry was the inker! I realize it's not the exact same, but I just found it humorous.

My bad. I always think of Austin because the only time I liked Cockrum was when Austin inked him. I actually wrote reviews of most of those issues, but I've slept since then.........

Just hearing you guys talk about it motivated me to have my LCS set one aside for me. I may not buy it, but I'll at least give it a chance.
