Oh no! He didn't call me that, did he?

One form of retaliation to warn other buyers would be for you to add a "follow-up" comment in your feedback to him where you provide the link to your scan of the POS in question... thumbsup2.gif

Kinda like this.... " View POS book here http://members.cox.net/revncaer/_pics/wwbnf.jpg "... 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

It's against eBay rules to post a URL in the feedback.

If I do that, he could get the entire feedback removed.

I wish it was that easy.

Put the scan on your "About Me" page. Don't mention the sellers name on your page, just post the pick. The best thing would be to have only the picture on your about me page, nothing else. Then write your follow up like this "See my "About Me" page for a scan of the POS "NM" comic."

For those that have missed the other thread...

I popped the BIN on this "NM+" auction. Link

Sent the guy the money instantly through Paypal.

He waits a month to send the book because of email problems, car accident, *insert common excuse here*.

I finally get this book in the mail. Front Back

I send the guy an email and tell him the book is not NM+ and want a refund.

Guy tells me tough [!@#%^&^].

I file fraud through Paypal.

Paypal tells me I can't get my money back through them because I didn't pay for buyer protection. (I'll be damned if I can find the option for it when buying through eBay.)

I though you were ALWAYS buyer protected when buying through eBay.

Anyway...Paypal tells me to file through eBay.

I'm in the middle of an eBay case now. No results yet.

ANYWAY!

I see the guy has put up more auctions that are very similar to mine.

I figure...why not try to prevent this from happening to another honest person.

I neg him. Link

I'm the red one at the top.

LOOK AT HIS REPLY! 893frustrated.gif

Dude...you can call me a lot of things...but a LIAR?

That went over me like a tonofbricks.gif

Yes...It's official...he has pissed me off. sumo.gif

Anyway. If you were looking at this guy's auctions...you were warned.

I'm so ticked at his reply, I'll be filing Mail Fraud charges on him now. devil.gif

Am I being childish here?

Should I get a refund on this POS book?

I'm going to give a follow up to his reply. But I only get 80 characters and I want to make it good. devil.gif

you should ask him if he sent you the WRONG copy of his two. to call that a NM+ is just frickin' wrong...........

when this happened to me (what hasn't on e-bay) for a much greater dollar amount, i had a local comic shop grade some of the books in question and then sign the sheet. i submitted that to e-bay (along with all the forms, etc.) and they gave me the max payout ($175??). but that POS dealer is still on there selling his $3 moderns and drink cups, etc............. 893naughty-thumb.gif

You gotta practice what you forum members preach. Remember "Big Clear Scans", "If its too god to be true,it probably isnt".

On the bright side at least you got a book, granted not in the graded description he had.

Try dropping $300 on a Surfer #1, and a week later Ebay ban the seller for being a fraud. Ouch that one still hurts, mad.gif, no book, no money just BS from Ebay, but thats another story.....

i assume you got your $175, at least????893crossfingers-thumb.gif

When I see a book I'm interested in, almost the first thing I do is write

the seller and ask them about their refund policy.

You can tell a lot about a seller from their response (or lack of same).

I've let some possible bargains go, but (usually) I just won't get involved in an

auction unless I know the seller will take a book back.

I sent the seller a friendly email letting him know that the book in question was at best a FN-/FN, and that he should invest the money he stole from you in

- a scanner

- an eye exam

- an OS Grading Guide

I think FN- is actually being very kind. Look at the left edge of the book - extensive wear all the way down. Multiple spine creases, color-breaking creases in the LRC, and the wear along the right edge that DiceX pointed out... This one's a joke, but only the seller is laughing...
