Hello All,

 

I'm posting 3 Green Hornet #1s. First Comic Appearance of Green Hornet, Kato, Black Beauty. One is CGC 2.5 and another is CGC 3.0. The last copy is a raw copy.

The person I picked this up from said it was a 5.0. I think it is more of a 4.0. It also looks like it had spine splits at the top and bottom of the book, repaired. Copy is tight, complete. Chip out on the back at the corner, see scan.

Great books! And three of them!

 

Would the raw copy have any restoration? How were the spine splits repaired (tape is OK to some extent for a blue CGC label but anything else might get it a PLOD?)

Comiclink has a CGC 3.5 listed for $2600, with a bid of $1640.

They also have a CGC 1.5 listed for $525, with a bid of $350

The raw copy has no tape on it. I cannot tell how it was fixed, but it does look it is possible an adhesive was used.

The cases for the 2.5 and the 3.0 are fine, no cracks or damage. CGC used 2 different size cases. The 3.0 has a much larger case then the 2.5.
