I think I'm about there, which obviously doesn't happen very often, and I'm starting to zone.

Show me a 9.4 copy of DC Special Series 1 and you'll see that exact reaction from me...

 

I joked with a buddy of mine yesterday that if a 9.6 were on eBay right now with a buy-it-now of $500 I would buy it without thinking... He promptly directed me to the nearest strip club and told me I would get a lot more for my money there... foreheadslap.gif

 

The day I only see comics as "market value" is the day I go back to my previous career... confused-smiley-013.gif

Yep, buying up over-priced copies of a certain under-appreciated 70's martial arts series has left me scratching my head at times. grin.gif

I did just that during one of Heritage's auction. I really wanted the book and ended up paying way to much for it. I will never be able to sell it for what I paid, then again I have no plans to ever sell it.

I would definitely pay $30 for a CGC 9.8.

I MIGHT pay $50 for a CGC 9.8.

So this "zone" you're describing MUST be what happened to the buyer here...
