The air in the convention is comfortable. Weather can change on a dime but expect hot and humid.

 

Wife beaters and short shorts?

Negative on both.

 

Plan on it being hotter than hell during the day and a little less so at night. Humidity will be a factor.

I have a friend telling me everyone has to wait in the same line, 3 day advance ticket buyers to, and that the line on Friday will take hours to get thru. I had planned on going up Friday but my budding is going up Thursday to get his passes so skip the long Friday line.

 

For those non dealers among us, is this true about the line, what day do most of you guys try to pick up passes?

 

 

Absolutely untrue.3 day passholders get in at 10 where single day have to wait until 1030. There are two lines. Last year, I arrived about 930, there was no wait to pick up my badge and I was in the con about 15 minutes after they opened the doors.

 

So anyone know when the line to get the badge starts to backup? I'm driving in from Knoxville, about 4 hours, was planning on leave about 5 AM or so.

o.k. folks we have a reservation for 20 30 (to be safe) at the 131 Main

for Friday, June 3rd @ 8pm! (I adjust if necessary once I get to Charlotte).

 

Here are the directions from the Con center:

Note: that the directions have you going down Kenilworth Ave, that is a One Way Street

and to see this front view you turn left onto East Blvd and it will be on the left (Scott Ave

is the road that is a one way that takes you back to the con).

 

Parkling: You can get up with me (I can fit 6 in my SUV) or there is a parking deck next to the

restaurant.

As a heads-up, when I called today I got a little more info:

 

We will be seated in the private dining room with 5 round tops

(that seat 8 people per table)in a room that seats 40 comfortably.

 

The noise level will be at a minimum and the GM said we can request

to have the music totally cut off if we want it even quieter.
